Fixed in the platform
Wix accessibility fixes
Wix sites often fail on images and buttons, because the editor makes it easy to place both without text.
How we fix Wix sites
We fix content in the Wix editor and CMS, and use Wix's own settings for page language and alt text. Where the editor cannot express a fix, we add a small documented script and list every fix that depends on it.
Problems we often find on Wix
- Images whose alt text is the file name.
- Galleries and strips with no text alternatives.
- Buttons with no accessible name.
- Template text colors that fail contrast.
